F'nofs Lulju, I kien offrut l-opportunità li awtur żewġ kapitoli għal Brendon Schwartz u Matt Ranlett tal ktieb up-li ġejjin, Computing soċjali mal-Microsoft SharePoint 2007: Applikazzjonijiet ta 'implimentazzjoni għall SharePoint li jippermettu kollaborazzjoni tal-interazzjoni u fil-Enterprise. (Jien naħseb li kienu jippruvaw jirbħu konkors tul ma 'dak it-titolu; Jien naħseb li rebaħ). I jumped on the opportunity and now, finalment, il-ktieb kollu huwa magħmul, jaslu fi ħwienet fi Frar.
Kif SharePoint jimmatura, publishers have begun to produce a new wave of books. This book is part of that wave. This wave builds upon the previous round of technical reference manuals explaining core features and functions and begins to describe how to use those features and functions to deliver business value in a very non-superficial way. I’m not saying that is anything superficial about reference manuals or their value. Fil-fatt, a book like this on Social Computing probably couldn’t have been written a year ago. (Litteralment, naturalment seta 'ġie miktub, imma jien ma naħsibx-komunità akbar kien ikun lesta għal dan). The new wave of books tends to assume the reader basically understands core features and instead describes how to use those core features in interesting new ways.
Bħala t-titolu jgħid ċar, this is a book about Social Computing. Social Computing is a subject ripe for discussion and exploration and indeed, the discussion is well underway among early adopters. Many companies are now quite comfortable with document libraries, kontenut tipi, tfittxija, workflow bażiku, eċċ. Having implemented and mastered these bread and butter features, they are ready for the next level. This book offers insights and strategies to do that and thereby, sfruttati l-opportunitajiet ġodda u interessanti li Computing Soċjali ġġib għad-dinja.
Computing soċjali huwa suġġett kbir u li qed jevolvi u tkopri ħafna off affarijiet, inklużi blogs, wikis, tagging soċjali, tfittxija, medja interattiva, Mashups, "people," and other socially-oriented "stuff." SharePoint has a very strong story to tell in this arena and now, f'dan iż-żmien fl-Internet & Istorja SharePoint, is the time to tell it. All things being equal between companies, those that successfully leverage Social Computing will outpace and outgrow those that do not. The train is getting ready to leave the station and you don’t want to miss it! This book is your ticket for a seat on that train 🙂
Bottom line, this is a blog entry pitching the book. It’s due out in February. Pre-order it here: Computing soċjali mal-Microsoft SharePoint 2007: Applikazzjonijiet ta 'implimentazzjoni għall SharePoint li jippermettu kollaborazzjoni tal-interazzjoni u fil-Enterprise.
(Iżvelar sħiħ — hemm l-ebda flus royalty fiha għalija jekk inti tagħżel li tixtri l-ktieb, għalhekk dan mhux sforz biex tingħata spinta lill-iffrankar kont tiegħi, għalkemm jekk dan ibiegħ ukoll, hija se tgħin out ego tiegħi, li dejjem trid aktar, aktar, aktar!)
Bħala twarrib, iżda importanti ħafna aside, I thank Bob Fox for connecting me with Brendon. And naturally, I thank Brendon u Matt għat-teħid ċans fuq newbie bħal myself u kiri me kapitoli awtur fil-ktieb importanti ħafna tagħhom!
